Demo packages

We offer MegaZine3 configurations as demo packages for free download. The packages are pre-configured for specific use cases and create working MZ3 titels (MegaZine3 pageflip books) fast and easily. Each demo package is complete and comes with the Megazine3 software, the MZ3 tool, sample data and a specific tutorial.

If you are an experienced user and look for the latest version of MegaZine3 or any specific files, please use our Expert Download page. There you'll find Flash source files (.fla and .swc files), the newest development version and the old version 1.x, licensed under GPL.

Beta Version MZ3-Tool3

The new MZ3-Tool3, actually available as  beta version v2.1.2.50 (May 16, 2012, bug fixes for search support; please use the new mz3.xml (the searchindex tag was duplicated by mistake)).

Attention: Please make sure that your folder and file names do not contain any special characters (non ASCII characters like Ü, ß, è, ...)! Also the user name must be of ASCII characters only, because the path to the desktop contains the user name!

This tool supports PDF to MZ3 conversion in a more comfortable way than the Demo packages below. It comes with German and English documentation, including videos. The standard configuration setting converts every PDF file copied to the folder where the MZ3-Tool3 program is located. Page size and number of pages are extracted from the PDF file, and the search index is created. It supports Offline and Online versions, batch-, single and spreadpages, Google Analytics and can create a Javascript Fallback (an HTML5 and JQuery based option to present MegaZine3 content in Browsers without FLASH support like iPads). With automatic collections of all data neededfor  Offline (CD/DVD) and Online copies (upload to a server).

Download the file, unzip into a new folder, copy your PDF file(s) to the same folder and start the program... It's that easy ;-) 

MegaZine3 OSx Package für monekybook (Mediascreen)

Users of mediascreen's monkeybook can download a special version. This OSx projector file is based on Flashplayer 11.3 (debug Beta 2; April 16, 2012) and the latest (pre-) release of MegaZine3 (as of April 18, 2012). The book will open in fullscreen mode.

Reason to offer a beta version is a memory leak problem in all former, official Flashplayer releases (v10.2, v10.3, v11.2); at least in combination with the Monkeybook hardware and OSx 10.7. Those leaks reaulted in hangs of Flashplayer after about 30 hours. The new build so far runs stable; no mmore memory leaks. 

Once the official release 11.3 is available from Adobe, we'll offer the new version for donwload soon after.

Additionally to the projector file you'll find a megazine.mz3 file, configured to support TUIO Touchscreens.

Complete and working MegaZine3 Title

Those who cannot use the MZ3 Tool (e.g. MAC users), can download the complete examples with working MZ3 titles and use them to analyze and as base for own modifications.
