Plugins are swf files fulfilling some requirements (i.e. they implement the IPlugin interface), and add additional functionality to the engine. There exist many different types of plugins, ranging from pure programmatical functionality (ElementIDs) over simple GUI using ones (Options), up to complex, GUI intensive, element attribute driven ones (Gallery).

Usage

To use a plugin, copy the swf into the plugins folder, if it's not there already. If the plugin uses GUI components, also add all required files in the gui folder (normally an ASUL Document named after the plugin, and a subfolder containing graphics used by the plugin). Lastly, add the plugin's name to the list in the book@plugins attribute.
