This plugin adds support for SWFAddress. This means it becomes possible to "deep link" the book, navigating to pages directly by using the browser's address bar / URLs.
Note: don't expect this to work locally. Try it on a server!
When using the anchors plugin, it is also possible to deep link to anchors.
- Type: Boolean
Determines whether SWFAddress uptates the browser's address bar on page changes. When enabled, users will be able to copy the current location from the address bar, linking to the current page. This will also result in each page change adding an entry to the browser history (thus allowing to go back in the book using the backward navigation of the browser), which might be annoying to some people (as it can quickly 'spam' the history).
This plugin handles no element attributes.
To link to page 12, add
/#/12 to the URL. For example, if your book lies at
http://www.example.com/, change the URL to
http://www.example.com/#/12. This jumps the the 13th page side (i.e. the page with the index 13, counting starts at 0, direction depends on reading order). In a left to right book this is the 7th "physical" page. Note that this mechanism ignores the
book@pageoffset property; it always uses the pages actual index.
