User setable bookmarks
« on: March 29, 2010, 04:04:58 am »
In MPete's feature list, it says there's a workaround for bookmarks, but I haven't seen much in that direction. Is that just refering to the /4 in the url that can open a book to a specific page?

What I'm really looking for is a way for users to set bookmarks that they can come back to later. Is there a workaround for something like that that I could hack in?

I'm currently working on a bookmarking plugin (screenshot attached, WIP), and also
plan to allow users to add their own bookmarks. I'll use the "Flash Cookies" for now,
which means they will only be available on the same machine.
But if you have someone at hand who knows Flash it should be fairly easy to change
it so that it's sent to be stored in a global database persistently for logged in users
(if you'll have something like that).

The graphics will be completely customizable via ASUL.
For the Snark was a Boojum, you see.
