How do I obtain the best font appearance?

I am creating a book that is 600 wide and 640 high.  I am having trouble getting a good appearing font.  Any suggestions?

If you really want to have control over the appearance and the font, you'll have to leave the pure HTML formating road and use document tools like InDesign or also MS Word and create PDF files that then are converted into SWF pages.

That has 2 advantages:
1. text is vectorized and scales without pixelation
2. full control on fonts and appearance; wit all options your tool offers.

I placed my Photoshop work in InDesign and saved it as a SWF page.  It looks great.   :D
