1: Change logo and preloader: yes
logo: defined in <foreground> or <background> within the megazine.mz3 file.
The preloader.fla can be adjusted with FLASH (for the new licenses you need the MZ3-PL-LIC; a one-time thing. A neutral preloader is available for free with every purchased license
2: Remove, resize or reposition the thumbnails page that shows up on rollover dots. yes
can be adjusted in the navigationbar.asul
3: Customize the look and feel of top and bottom menu. yes
4: Change the color or intensity of the shadow in an around the book(I had hard time looking for this option): ??
Not sure I understand what you are loioking for. If it is the folding effect in the middle of the book (between the pages), then see:http://www.megazine3.de/doc/Book#foldfx
Regarding the PDF conversion
We make use of pdf2swf ourselves. THe most powerful and proven tool we know that is freely availabe.
If you download the demo package you'll find instructions on how to install the swftools and see that the batch command files htat build a megazine3 title out of a PDF call that pdf2swf tool with a configurable parameters.
If you want to make use of links
(internal or external ones), you should start and use those tools for your first steps. You then can analyze the parameters used to call pdf2swf and the final megazine.mz3 to understand what parameters are used and how they are set.
All the links (demo package, nightly builds, sources) can be found actually at our test site http://mz3pageflip.com
and in future (hopefully still in May) at http://megazine3.com
That download page is not final and will change; sitll a bit confusing. But you'll find all with some patience ;-)
Regarding the licenses
: In future there will be 2 different license types only:
1. single tiltes: MZ3-STD (max 100 pages, 20 Euro net), MZ3-BOOK (unlimited pages, 50 Euro net, similar to today's MZ3-FIX)
2. periodical titles: papers with regular issues, with the same name (e.g. Guardian or Figaro or FAZ or Times). Like newspapers (MZ3-PER-D; daily) or monthly magazines (MZ3-PER-M, max 12 issues within 12 months)
No special programms for hosters or publishers or resellers any longer. That is built into the discount table, avaioable for everybody.
No more differences between private and commercial use. That at the end is covered by the MZ3-PL-LIC, assuming private people wpuld accept a non personalized logo and title if they can save 50 Eruo (plus tax), whereas commercial users will usually produce more than one title and the one time fee becomes a wash.
With the MZ3-FREE built in license you can do whatever you need to do but not modify logo and preloader. For tests and demos and little titles a perfect thing. And even the 50 page limit does not stop you to tost big books. They will fully work, but at the moment you exceed 0 pages a watermark will be added to the left page. No problem for tests and demos...
We continue to provide all sources and play open. We request that everybody accepts our rules and does not touch that the one, specified class that deals with watermarks and license keys. This is based on trust; no locks or scrambling or other techniques...
If you want to modify the .asul files (for the GUI adjustments), you should download the sources, becasue those are all commented and by far better readalble than the stripped versions that come with the Binary package.
Hopefully this answers your questions.
If the foldfx parameter is not what you are looking for, then please explain what you mean by "shadows in and around the book"; bet you give an example.
