How can I get a license for unlimited number of books
(1/1)
norhan:
Hello
I read the commercial license price list and I've noticed that I will have a license for an exact number of books and exact period of time.
I can have a license for a year and renew it every year that's fine. but I have a problem that I need the license for unlimited number of books not just 50 or 100 , and unlimited number of pages .
I'm really sorry for my bad english.
thanx,
Hans Nücke:
Hi, your English is perfect, don't worry ;-)
Life Span: a MZ3-BOOK license has no limits in time; it is a one-time cost and then the license can be used forever. You can modify you Online titles as often you want.
Number of pages: The MZ3-BOOK has no page limits. You can add as many pages as needed. We have customers that use catalogues with more than 2.000 pages
Number of licenses: Each license is assigned to exactly one title. The discount model will in all cases (so far ;-) worked perfectly fine; even when at the beginning an unlimited license was considered.
Advantages for you with the "heavy discount" model compared to "one-time fee for an unlimited number of titles: no upfront invest, high flexiibility (pay for what you know is realistic).
Best will be you make a rough estimate of your realistic needs for the next 6...12 months. And then purchase the appropriate package of licenses.
Example: If you expect to build more than 400 titles, then a 500 license package will be the best fit. The per license price will go down to 15% of the single license price, i.e. 7.50 Euro instead of 50 Euro.
For real big needs like 10,000 books, the price only is 5% of a single license, i.e. 2.50 Euro instead of 50 Euro.
If your plans are seriously in that range or above: then we should talk about a special model that could be "unlimited number", but within certain boundaries like selected region or similar.
You can send me a PM or email to discuss details.

thanks for your fast reply.
usually when I need a flash template or component, I buy the source .fla file for the price written, do some developments and publish it as many times I want in any project I have.
I'm trying to reach that idea here if it's possible because even if it costs much when I repeatedly use that component, the cost is divided on the number of times I use it.
I don't know all the specifications of the project I'm participating yet, but let's asume that:
* I need about 10,000 book a year (more or less).
* If there is a region constrain, it will be saudi arabia or middle east.
* It will be better if I pay once for a life time, but I don't know how to manage that if I will make 10,000 new book every year
Hans Nücke:
OK, sounds like you are planning to be/become a "heavy user". And if you consider 10.000+ titles per year, we really should talk about a model that is a perfect fit for your needs. We are flexible, but also need ot be consistent with our model and fair with everybody.
I never was a fan of maximizing a single deal for short term profits. I had to do so in my "past life" when I worked for biggger US based companies.
My perference is a long term, reliable partnership.
Another reason why I want to avoid special deals is the additional effort and risk on both sides: define the border lines, negotiate the conditions and price, trying to not to forget important points, put all that on paper (contract), perhaps even have legal involved.
This does not make sense for the standard deal.
But if we're talking about that size, I understand your point and am willing to spend time and work with you on finding a good solution.
I have some ideas and a couple of more questions. I propose we do the detailed discussions "one on one"; and if you like we can share the results publicly after we found an agreement. I'll contact you by PM
Regards
Hans
