How to report a bug
« on: January 30, 2009, 06:55:13 PM »
When reporting a bug please make sure to supply as much information as possible.

At least try to report...
  • which version of MegaZine you are using. (if you do not know: focus the flash element in your browser by clicking on it, then press the "#" key. A console should open, and in the fourth line of text you should find "MegaZine Version x.xx initialized.")
the correct version by posting in the correct bugtracker project. Always make sure you have the newest version before reporting a bug
  • if you have the files on your local drive or if you open the html from a webserver. (i.e. if the url in the addressbar starts with file:/// or http://)
  • the xml and or html file causing the problem (ideally a stripped down version, with only the parts causing the problem).
  • a proper description of the problem, i.e. on which page the bug occurs, what should happen/should not happen, etc.

Also
  • Make sure you have read the FAQ first, the ones in the forum as well as the ones in the Wiki, and
  • look for info in the Wiki, maybe the "bug" is only unexpected behavior well documented.
  • Make sure the bug is not already reported, if so see if you can contribute any further information in form of a reply to the report

Thank you.[/list]

For the Snark was a Boojum, you see.

Before you ask a question
          After you get an answer
  • please document your problem with the answer in the Project Wiki. (e.g. in the FAQs)
  • help others out if you can, by answering their questions on the forum.
