Thumbnail previews generated from original image and not thumbnail version

I have noticed that the thumbnail preview for pages when using the navigation option while mouse hovers over page location(default location of pages is at top of screen),  is generated from the actual page image file and not from that of a thumbnail. Any chance of directing preview of unopened pages to a thumbnail folder or similar, which will allow for faster preview loading and less bandwidth?

Yes, that idea's been flitting in and out of my mind for some time now... added it to the todo list for now.
