FLVPlayback not working in Full Screen mode
« on: March 06, 2010, 09:42:11 am »
All my pages are .swf files that have animations on them that the user clicks on buttons to interact with. A couple of the pages have .flv movies in them that use Flash's FLVPlayback Component. When I am looking at my magazine in the normal browser window the movie usually plays (there has been some occasions where the movie does not start playing), however when I activate the Full Screen mode (where it says "press ESC to exit") I run into an issue. The magazine displays fine, and my animations from the button activations work fine....however, when I click on a button to watch a movie, and again it's just suppose to display on my individual page, the entire screen goes black almost like it's trying to launch the movie as full screen, and nothing happens...it's just sits there on the black screen till I hit ESC. Then, I return back to my normal browser window like nothing happened. Any thoughts to this?

All I want is for my movie to play like normal in my .swf file when Full Screen mode is launched.

Thanks!

You are using the current version, right? I can't reproduce it in any browser, and in fact it
would be rather weird if I could; after all, the video component is explicitly set to not use
full screen mode. Do you have the latest Flash Player version installed?
For the Snark was a Boojum, you see.

I am also using swf files that contain characters to interact with! When I add them to the book, they dont appear to work. It is coming in as an image!
Just wondering what code you used to add your swf??

Thanks in advance
