Introduction: Basic use of MegaZine3

This Chapter shows how to use MegaZine3 without the help and automatism of the MZ3-TOOL.

You will learn how to download the MegaZine3 software, what folders and files are part of the download package and how the folder strucuture differs for Online and Oflline use. The different variants of the MegaZine3 software are explained and and it is shown how to create a valid megazine.mz3 file, which is the key configuration file for a MegaZine3 title.

The key elements that are used to build a megazine.mz3 file are introduced:

book and page attributes
image and video elements and their attributes
plugins
user content

Most is also shown in short videos, using a WIndows PC. But all steps shown in the videos can be made on other platforms (OSx or Linux) as well.

The content of this tutorial will help to understand all other tutorials much better, so we suggest you read all pages and do the exercise yourselve on your computer and follow all steps shown in the videos.

After this you either can use the MZ3-TOOL to build a MegaZine3 title in a pretty comfortable way. in case you are lucky and have access to a Windows PC (or a virtual machine running Windows under OSx or Linux). The 4 different pre-configured demo packages will be an ideal start for that.
