MZ3 Structure (Flash Player / Offline version)
The offline version (also called CD version or Flash Player version) at the end is a program: the so called projector.
That program is dependent on the platform, ie. there is a Windows and a MAC version. Additionally, like for the online version, there is a standard and a fat version. For details see MegaZine3 Variants.
The key files are:
- Windows version
The megazine.exe or megazine-fat.exe contains both the MegaZine3 software and a Flash Player stand-allone version. Exectuing this program starts the MZ3 title
- OSx (MAC) version
The megazine.app or megazine-fat.app contains both the MegaZine3 software and a Flash Player stand-allone version. Exectuing this program starts the MZ3 title
- No preloader, no style.css, no js/ folder needed
Viewing a MZ3 Title with the stand-allone version of Flash Player
Alternatively to watching a MegaZine3 title in a browser with FLASH plugin is to direct start the MegaZine3 software together with the stand-allone version of Flash Player. No internet connection needed, faster operation, distribution on CD or memory stick, no sandbox problems... A lot of good reasons to use this variant for viewing MZ3 titles locally, i.e. offline.
The name of the MegaZine3 title must be megazine.mz3 and all content must reside within a folder(s) named as the language(s) used. For an easy and error free setup every MZ3 title should be bundled with it's own version/instance of that megazine executable (MegaZine3 software with Flash Player).
